7th Mode Harmonic Minor

God bless this strange scale. This is the 7th and final mode genrated from the harmonic scale and I have liked them every one.

This may be the strangest yet but it is wonderfully strange. This scale can be called superlocrian diminished, although I quite prefer the 7th mode harmonic minor.

Many scales that you encounter in the Earth Music Guide will seem strange. this is almost certainly because you haven’t been exposed to that particular scale.

However, listen and be open to the tonal beauty that this bizzarre scale contains.

I would use this in the same context as the whole tone scale for a disorienting effect on the listener.
